All Things Deborah Hay

Choreographer Deborah Hay was my teacher in 1994 and ever since then, I would do anything for her. Over the years, I have been the project manager for many of her ensemble choreographies and international tours, the curator for a lobby exhibition in support of a world premiere performance, and a collaborator on a performative lecture tour. You will find my writing on Hay’s Solo Performance Commissioning Project in the Writing section and videotaped discussions with her performers in the Interviews section. I am in the process of writing a  manuscript on the aesthetics of Hay’s dances and observations of audience reactions from my 25-year proximity to Hay’s work.
